The #Venice Lido #Airport was the only airport in Venice for many years until the construction of the modern international Tessera airport. Being on the lido (a thin strip of land surrounded by water) its one of the most incredible places to land with a plane. It is now only used for special and private VIP flights and upon arrival you are greeted by the staff at the original old airport cafe/restaurant... The airport is more of a museum than anything else and once there I was also allowed to visit the control tower. One of the coolest experiences of my life, thanks to my friend Claudio (The captain) and his plane, I can say, I Was There. 🛩️ ✈️ 🌍 ☕

eh gia`... vista dall'alto e tutta un'altra storia, c'e` cosi` tanto attorno a Venezia che non ci si rende conto.
I wouldn't know.. this was a friend taking me for a ride. he has his own private fleet and air strip. kids would be allowed on a setting like this but I wouldn't know about flying tours rules. I do have another friend in Italy who has a plane for hire business and I can ask but he mainly caters to people going parachuting and learning to fly.
