How many of you like the dated look of your home?

My wife and I live in a 1966 ranch in Vermont. It has a cool mid-century vibe with wood accents but also has dated bathrooms and kitchen. While we can afford to renovate, we don't really feel the need to as it's functional and we think it has character from over the years. It feels like we're in a weird position that if we ever want to sell, we HAVE to renovate to get more value out of the home because it would appeal to more people.

Having been in modern and updated homes, I feel like they usually lack a bit of character (I wouldn't say soulless). The typical black/white kitchen with gold handles etc. aesthetic that's more hotel than home.

Curious what others in dated homes feel. Is it functional for you? Do you want to renovate asap or is it just not a priority? Obviously, this varies home by home.
