3.5yo Hitting/Biting - Help!
My 3.5 year old has recently been hitting and biting very often (mainly my husband, me and his little brother - I haven't heard of issues at school). If I hold his arms/hands and tell him, "I won't let you hit," he'll smirk and chomp his teeth together like, "okay well then I'll bite." I have tried giving him suggestions of other things he can do when he's mad. We have tried taking a break to calm his body down. It sounds like I've been inconsistent but I feel like we've given each thing a good amount of reps and nothing works.
Additionally, we potty trained about 7 weeks ago and while it started off well, he's now been withholding poop. If I try to suggest going to the potty, he will run across the room and hit me every single time. If I try to help him to the bathroom, he will swat, kick, scream and try to bite me.
I'm nearing my wits end and am looking for a light at the end of the tunnel as well as suggestions for how to handle this behavior! Thank you so much for your help!!!
