Pixar does have a best movie, its Toy Story 3, and it’s not particularly close
At the studios peak, Pixar was known for creating films that masterfully blended nostalgia, heart, and oddly riveting drama. While many of their stories were very personal, Toy Story 3 is the one and only Pixar movie that I feel ups the stakes of both its predecessors and accomplishes it in a way where the audience comes to grips with very meaningful topics such as aging and attachment to things that you simply just cannot let go. The film maintains its child-friendly charm and humor without beating you over the head with its deeper elements, where ultimately that’s exactly where Toy Story 4 falters among others
