I heard this piece for the first time this summer, and man is it something so special. When I first listened to Beethoven’s 31st sonata, it’s what drove me to pursue piano all out, and now I have a new piece that’s just lighting me on fire.
Even though I’ve learned Op. 110 now, the Scriabin is much, *much* more difficult, and significantly more technically varied. I’m going to need good time to build up to it, but if there are suggestions for what to play that will build a foundation for the skills in the Fantasie (outside of just saying “play more Scriabin”), I would appreciate input.
