Storage unit tips for long term?
Hey all,
I’ve recently rented a climate controlled storage unit while I sort out and rearrange/downsize things at home and though I may use this to move the majority of my sneaker collection in while I declutter possibly prepare to let go of some clothing and sneakers in the future.
I am basically asking for any insight on how to store them within the unit if this happens to be longer than I anticipate? I may actually keep the unit indefinitely if this helps with the storage as the collection is over 300+ pairs and I may use it until I can downsize to a manageable number (I’m aware I have a problem with overconsumption and that realization was what triggered me wanting to declutter and downsize).
Any tips and tricks to help keep the integrity of the condition of them as most are unused and would rather have the next owner to use and enjoy.
I have extra large moving bags that may fit \~10 pairs with boxes, should I leave them bagged?
I was also thinking of getting shelving for the unit.
If anyone has done something like this before please drop some knowledge and any do’s and dont’s.
