Just in case people were considering white ink, here's mine. It's about 5 years old (November 2021) and a memorial piece for my best friend whom we lost to suicide. Her and I were training partners in figure skating. I did a lot of research before getting it and chose white because I specifically wanted it to heal like a scar. The ink healed and turned a similar color to stretchmarks. I love it. It reminds me of her every time I see it. I know there are a few "blowouts" but I like it even more for that because I felt like it was accidental symbolism for the shakiness of our dream to reach the Olympics.
***Due to it being a memorial piece, I ask for no negative comments or criticism on the tattoo itself...***but happy to answer any questions from a receiver perspective for those who are considering getting white-ink only. Obviously I cannot speak from the perspective of an artist or from a person with darker skin.
Also this is on my upper thigh between my hip and pubic bone. The artist is Sadie Winter. #art source
