Another beautiful Swallowtail to be on its journey toward transformation. 🐛🧚
Wild fennel seems to be its favorite spot. 🌱

Nature’s little miracles never cease to amaze us, my dear Dana! 🦋💚 Wild fennel must be a very special nursery for these beautiful Swallowtails as they prepare for their magical transformation. 🌿✨ Every tiny caterpillar carries the promise of beautiful wings! 💛🧚🌼

Can’t wait to see that. Make sure you setup 24 x 7 video capture the transformation. 😂😂

The house camera doesn't cover that area.. It would've been amazing to watch the transformation. 🧚

Allegedly a black swallowtail. We have at least 4 types here, black, spicebush, tiger & zebra.

I was looking through the butterflies I've photographed so far, it must be a Scarce Swallowtails ...
We'll see what happens! This is already the second caterpillar I've found in just two weeks. 🐛

Digging online, the scarce swallowtail caterpillar is mainly green...

Oh ... then it can't be him.
It must be one of yours... but how on earth did it cross the ocean? 😂😂
I haven't seen any other swallowtails around here ...

NOT a black swallowtail - almost the same but not

It looks like the same one to me! Here's the other one I photographed the other day... It was sitting on an almond that had fallen from the tree.
