5700X3D vs 5950X - Which One Makes More Sense?

I’m choosing between a **Ryzen 7 5700X3D** and a **Ryzen 9 5950X**.
**My setup:** ASRock B450M board, RX 9060 XT (16GB), gaming at 1440p.
**Usage:** 90% gaming, 10% editing.

The 5950X would require a new motherboard (which is +€100 on top of its €320 price tag), but at least I can buy it locally with a box and warranty.
The 5700X3D fits my B450M with no extra cost, but it’s a tray CPU(which I guess is not a problem).

Here’s the catch:
I found the 5700X3D on AliExpress for only €10 more than the 5950X (after coupons). I’m not 100% comfortable buying from AliExpress, but the listing has tons of reviews and sales, so it doesn’t look too sketchy.

I get that at 1440p the GPU does most of the work, but I’m thinking long-term. If I upgrade to a stronger GPU later (something like a 9070 XT), I’d like to avoid running into pointless bottlenecks while I’m still saving up for an eventual move to AM5 (which realistically won’t be anytime soon). I could be wrong though. I’m basically trying to figure out which CPU holds up better for gaming in the meantime.

So my question is basically this:
**Is the 5700X3D the better call for a gaming-focused setup on a B450M, or is there a real case for the 5950X even with the extra platform costs? And am I giving the 5700X3D too much credit?**
