I don't know how to be friends with people my own age???
FYI - I am in my early twenties, recently graduated college. Throughout college, I really didn't have friends. I had classmates who I socialized with a lot and many people liked me, but I would never hang out with them. - never invited or never asked.
The friends I did have, I always ended up getting irritated with from their immaturities or their views on life - or we would fight.
But I am not completely hopeless - because I get along with people twice or three times my age??? Like I hang out with 60 year olds that are neighbors or long time family friends. We have actual good conversations where we can laugh and have fun. or we go do things - like watch a movie or grocery shopping.
I also get along with my coworkers who are 40+. In all the jobs I ever worked at, many of my coworkers would be like "I never feel like I am talking to a 20 something year old when I am talking to you" and these are people with kids my age.
IDK. Am I broken? I was raised by a baby boomer - so I always joke that I feel like a gen x or a millennial...
but is this bad? Am i doomed to never make genuine friendships with people my age?
