How do I politely remind a manager of my availability?
Hello! I am 16, and I got my first job at a restaurant as a hostess. My manager has scheduled me on Mondays & Wednesdays, which I absolutely can not work during the school year.
I am a college student, and I stacked all my classes for Mondays & Wednesdays. I also have Marching Band practice after my classes. Basically, there is no way I can show up to work these days.
I included my availability (No Mondays & Wednesdays) on resume, and I didn't select 'want to work' in the scheduling website. **Should I have requested time off for every single Monday & Wednesday?**
My manager has scheduled me for Monday and Wednesday next week. I am assuming she simply forgot, since I was working those days during the summer. **How can I politely ask for her to take me off the schedule for those days?**
