I have two small girls and I am realizing very quickly they prefer their dad. I get it. Hes a paramedic firefighter and is gone for 24-48 hours at a time, sometimes weeks if theres training. So when hes home, hes fun and takes them to do more while I handle the day-to-day and paperwork and usually end up doing more of the teaching and discipline.
I was just wondering if there are little things that anyone has picked up that helps you get past how personal it feels sometimes, and when they get older, will they realize I wasn't trying to be boring and mean and loved them?
Sorry if this comes off as needy, sometimes it just feels like being the default is important, but not rewarding.😅 #relationships
