In 2022, aside from being the Vice President, Pres. Marcos gave VP Sara Duterte two additional Roles: Department of Education Secretary and Vice Co-Chairperson of the NTF-ELCAC. ( National Task Force To End Local Communist Armed Conflict).
Upon assuming these positions, VP SARA discovered problems that had long been neglected :
1. CHILD ABUSE - 1,871 unresolved cases from 2019-2020, with 10 regions failing to submit data.
2. ONLINE EXPLOITATION - A 2021 Interpol and UNICEF study revealed that 20% of Filipino children aged 12-17 were victims, affecting an estimated 20 million.
3. YOUTH RECRUITMENT- 12.3% of surrendered rebels were minors, with 16 public high schools in Metro Manila infiltrated for recruitment.
4. DRUGS AND GANG VIOLENCE - Over
11, 000 incidents involving minors reported in Department of Education schools.
To address these, her offices required surveillance, informants and intervention programs. This is exactly the very reason why the ₱125M Confidential Funds (CF) was requested by VP Sara Duterte.
But instead of supporting this, Martin Romualdez ( House Speaker) weaponized the Makabayan Bloc, along with his "Young Guns" and "Attack Dogs" in Congress, to single out VP Sara's ₱125M CF, while ignoring Pres Marcos's ₱4.5 Billion CF.
What followed? POLITICAL PERSECUTION OF THE DUTERTE FAMILY, capped by VP Sara's Impeachment.
While the House of Representatives was busy vilifying Duterte, it stayed silent on a far bigger scandal - ₱545.64 Billion worth of Flood Control Projects.
From July 2022-May 2025, there were 9,855 flood control projects funded:
▶️ 15 Contractors cornered ₱100 billion (20% of the total funds)
➡️ ₱350 billion worth for the 6,021 flood control projects had no proper specifications
and failed to meet the material standards, leaving the public clueless whether these were for drainage, flood mitigation, dikes, embankments or simple repairs.
On average, the Philippines spent ₱1.07 billion per day in 2022, ₱1.34 billion in 2023,
₱1.37 billion in 2024 and ₱1.08 billion in 2025 - - without clear feasibility studies or project cost analysis.
And yet the RESULT? GHOST FLOOD CONTROL Projects.
So, who is the real threat to the
