I believe physical keys will become completely extinct in the future.
Why ?
Technology is already replacing them rapidly. Smart locks, fingerprint scanners, facial recognition, and mobile apps are becoming more common in homes, cars, and offices. These systems are not only more convenient (no more losing keys) but also more secure since they can be updated or monitored remotely.
As cities become smarter and connected devices increase, carrying a metal key will feel outdated, just like floppy disks or cassette tapes today. Eventually, everything will be controlled through our phones, biometrics, or even voice commands.
