How to Correct Others with Name Pronunciation?
My son's name is commonly mispronounced, and I'd like some advice on how to politely correct this.
We are starting a new school, Pre-K, and I sense I'll need to hone in on his name pronunciation. We met the principal and he already mispronounced it š
So my son's name is Joziah, with a Z. A lot of people call him Josiah with an S sound, and I want to remind them (his teacher, principal, or regular friends) & clarify that it's Joziah with a Z sound, without sounding rude or making it awkward.
Tips?
I sometimes will just say, "It's Joziah with a Z" when I introduce him, but some people still fall into that s sound. It urks me but I get it
