Rock stacking is no where near as big of a deal as people pretend it is, and those against it are doing so mainly for their own superiority conplexes
So every time a video shows a stack of small rocks (called a cairn), you'll see people frothing at the mouth about how bad it is for nature. They'll cite all the bugs that potentially live in the rocks and how it's wrecking the ecosystem.
The truth is though that damn near any human interaction with nature is causing it harm in some way. The only valid argument I've seen is that they are sometimes used as trail markers and extras can get people lost, but the absolute vitriol people have towards cairns is in no way proportional to any potential damage they're doing.
If someone enjoys stacking some small rocks and it gets them out and participating in nature, than I for one think it's a good thing.
