Help me decide if I should keep cox's retention offer?
I'm so tried of cox's shenanigans .... but
Is keeping cox worth it or switch to T-mobile home?
I have 250mbps with a data cap for $50 just recently increased to $80.
I called to get a lower price they couldn't give me a lower price so I asked to disconnect the service. (magically turns out I was sent a stream player (I have no clue about and never used) and I was being charged $5/m for it and if I don't return it I will be charged $109)
I immediately looked for other options around me and found T-mobile Home internet, signed up for it $45 for similar bundle no data cap and 5yr price lock with 14-day trial (I will be receiving it soon to try it)
Cox called me today to offer me a retention offer 300mbps + no data cap + new modem all bundled in for $30/m for 2years. I was promised I can extend the offer after two years but I'm not relaying on that.
Should I still accept this offer? I can return T-mobile home internet since I'm still in the trial period. (Will still try it out to see how's the coverage in my area)
FYI I disputed the stream player and still waiting to hear back if they will still end up charging me for it.
