Need advice-8yr with cellphone!
I have a stepdaughter, and her grandmother got her a phone. Dad and I both said she was not allowed one, and Grandma (his mother) got it for her anyway.
Right off the bat I’m the stricter parent, which is hard because I’m not technically mom (I’ve been mom for two years, and bio mom is not in the picture at all)
I fully believe it should be taken away, while my partner thinks she can have it until she breaks it or loses it —he also is very ‘whatever!’ About her getting it in the first place
Thoughts of what we could do? Take it away? Wait till it breaks?
*this is not a NEW iPhone , but grandma got an upgrade and was able to keep the line and give the kid her old one—it’s an iPhone 11 or 12*
