I don't know if this is an actual concept, or if it's something I just happened to notice, but this was the closest I could find to naming it accurately. You know how some songs start in the middle? As in, the beginning of the song already starts with strong beats and sometimes even the phrases start as though they were in the middle of the sentence, as though there was a previous thought to the sentence which wasn't included in the song. For example, Taylor Swift's "Cowboy Like Me" and bôa's "Duvet". Is there any name for this particular genre of songs? I don't mean as in country genre, or anything else-- but PARTICULARLY this thing where the song seems to start in the middle. I don't even know if such a thing exists in the music world or I just seemed to find a random pattern in a few songs and seemed to like it.
Both songs also start with a second clause, for "Cowboy Like Me" it goes:
and the tennis court / was covered up with some tent-like thing
And for "Duvet":
and you don't seem to understand / a shame you seemed an honest man #audio #music
