take lower paying job for more skills?
i am currently a construction laborer and making more than i ever have at 21hr (yes im in FL). This job was a life saver after months of not getting enough hours/pay + life events. its mind numbing and exhausting but its a relief to have some pennies saved.
i just got an offer at a woodworking shop. i will definitely gain more hard skills there, but there will be a significant pay hit of at least $400 a week. plus more overtime soon.
i've been working to get a spot somewhere to learn a skilled trade. i thought i'd be here a while before an opportunity came. i dont want to miss it, but dammit, im just getting my head above water again 🥲🥲🥲.
