What would you do
Back in July I got a call from someone I know higher up in the local. He saw my name on the out of work list and asked if I wanted to travel for work. It’s been slow back home and what not so I took the opportunity. Anyway I drove halfway across the country and got to it.
It’s been a shit show since I got here. Atleast for like the first 6/7 weeks I was able to get 60-70+ hours. There hasn’t been a single day or task where shits worked out well. We’re now down to 40 hour weeks and have to deal with the establishment being opened so it’s not as easy to work as a regular jobsite.
Anyway, on Friday the company laid off 20+ guys. My site lost our foreman and one of the more knowledgeable guys. Aside from everyone finding out by text last minute anyone traveling had to check out by Saturday morning.
Now I’m stuck here with this shitty ass shop on this fucked up job. The two guys who were here from the beginning are gone. Itl be me and another lead/foreman for the company on Monday and we’ll probably get another guy I’ve worked with here on Wednesday.
I’m just over it. Having to deal with missing things, fixing things, catching up loose ends…
wtf should I do or would you do? I’m so so so soooo spent .-. They are gonna expect so much of us yet we’re gonna be missing some shit, have the wrong shit, not have enough man power,
I hate to vent I just dont know what to do. Only reason I wasn’t laid off was because I show up on time every day…

Best saw for extremely small space
I have space for one small metal cutting machine. I'm not happy with my hemsaw 784xl and trying to decide between a different bandsaw, an Evo cold-cut saw, or a real cold saw. I've considered the Kama EV 91DMHV, a 14" Evo, or 10" cold saw.
I bought the hemsaw based on quite a bit of research and thought it'd be the best option. I'd love to hear from someone that has used it and a Kama. The Evo is too loud; not a deal breaker, but I'm working inside a closet. The cold saws I've looked at are too heavy. Ideally I'd settle on something I could move myself.
