I milled and assembled the cherry frame, then designed a weaving frame to go inside of it. It took a few iterations to figure out how to make the inner frame strong enough to withstand all the tension of the weaving. After trying a few different weaving patterns I decided to go with a simpler one to allow the light to pass through consistently. In the future I plan to modify the frame to try some patterns more reminiscent of weaved chair seats, and to try a few different shapes and sizes for the frame. The frame is finished with osmo oil. #diy
