Hi everyone! I’m sharing my first attempt at the Andromeda Galaxy (M31). I’m quite happy with the dust lanes I was able to pull out, but I'm struggling with the final "polish."
I used a DSLR with untracked tripod. Processing was done in Siril and as you can see, I had to be quite aggressive with the black point to hide the noise. I’m looking for suggestions on how to improve my image capturing and on how to handle noise without losing the faint outer reaches of the galaxy.
🔭 **Acquisition Details:**

\* Stretch: Using Histogram Transformation and SCNR tools
\* Snapseed: Final touch-ups to the black point and contrast to manage background noise
Specific things I'm unsure about and would love your take on:
\* Flats: I am still unsure on how to capture Flats, I tried with white screen, tshirt, etc. but I am not getting it right.
\* Decreasing the sensor noise (the visible RGB noise) #space source
