I’ve noticed something about myself in conversations and I’m curious if others have experienced this
When I talk to someone new, I end up sharing a lot about my life in the first 5–10 minutes. Later I realize I’ve already told most of my story and now I have nothing left to say. Then the conversation becomes quiet and I start feeling like I’m forcing it or trying too hard to keep it going
Even when I try to say something, a lot of the time it feels like it doesn’t really land or people just move past it and the moment becomes kind of invisible
If I try asking questions it sometimes feels like I’m interviewing them, so I stop. But then there are awkward pauses and I don’t understand how some people handle those moments so naturally
I’m really curious about people who used to struggle with this but later became more comfortable with conversations. What changed for you and how did you learn to make conversations flow more naturally? #relationships source
