Pulling back the Venezuelan veil
We all know about the bots, and they’re almost as good as muddying the waters as uninformed humans. Does Venezuela have large reserves of oil and minerals? Of course, but countries are dipping a toe in the water for a next world war, and this show of force is more akin to a Cuban missile crisis 2.0 than 21st century imperialism.
China, Russia, and even Iran have been steadily increasing their presence and military support in Venezuela. It’s not just the military advisors, transport flights, and $60 billion loans to buy weapons… they have spaceports, dock spy ships, run SIGINT and ELINT missions, and have the only Kalashnikov and Shahed drone factories in the western hemisphere.
This was to draw a red line, and stopping the flow of resources to adversaries vs simply taking them for America is just a cherry on top.
