1. What do you think the son truly felt in that moment? Why do you think he couldn't express it directly?
I think the son truly felt love, guilt, and pain. He cared for his mother, but because of pressure and the younger woman watching, he could not express his feelings openly. His harsh words were hiding his true emotions.
2. If you were the mother, how would you feel after discovering what was inside the sack?
I would feel emotional and touched. At first hurt by his words, but after finding the letter and money, I would realize my son still loves and respects me. It would fill my heart with both tears and happiness.
3. What message does this story teach you about parents especially mothers?
This story teaches that a mother understands love even when it is unspoken. Mothers forgive, sacrifice, and love unconditionally. We should respect our mothers and express our love before it is too late.
