What kind of posts should I be making on Linkedin?
A piece of advice I hear a lot is to build an online presence. I'm unemployed at the moment, I just finished a temp retail contract.
I've never really posted on Linkedin before. Just lurked. Something that's difficult about job searching is that you don't want to cast too wide a net but you also don't want to be hyper specific.
I've considered perhaps making a cliché post about how I enjoyed my time working at my last job. Then a small note about how I'm posting new art stuff for my online shop while I search for a new role.
However, I also worry that by drawing attention to my art, I might drive away potential employers when I apply for retail or reception type jobs. I want to show that I'm doing something with my time but I also don't want to drive people away. I don't want them to think, oh, she won't really care about this role, let's not hire her. Yet I do want to be more active online somehow, I'm just not sure how to go about it. #business source
