People say you shouldn’t carry cash on you in case you’re robbed. I say you definitely should carry cash in case you’re robbed.
Look at this way. Someone holds a gun to you and says give me all you money. You say Sorry man, I just use Venmo and Apple Pay! So what’s the result? You won’t lose any money, so that’s good, but he’ll probably take your watch, your phone, and whatever else of value you have on you. He might not believe you and beat you up. He might get frustrated and beat you up. But on the other hand, give him $40 or $50 and he’ll probably run away. That’s what happened with me recently.
