Looking for 5–6 day backpacking trip recommendations
I won tax-free award from work to put toward a trip and can use it on basically anything. I already have pretty much all the gear I need, so the plan is to mainly use it for travel and accommodations before getting to the trail.
For context, I’m currently on the West Coast of the United States. I’ve done a decent amount of backpacking in the Sierras and North Cascades, which are probably my favorite mountain areas in the U.S.
I’m definitely looking to get outside the country, though. The W Trek was the first trek that came to mind, but Nepal, Alaska, Canada, hut hiking in the Swiss Alps, and other mountain ranges throughout Asia are all on my radar.
I’m thinking roughly 10 days total: a couple days for travel, a 5–6 day trek, and a little time afterward to chill. If you had this opportunity, where would you go? #nature #activity source
