I’ve found the best definition of confidence I’ve ever heard is:
Confidence is the belief that regardless of what happens, you’ll handle it.
It’s not trying to dominate someone else or impress people, it’s knowing that even if someone doesn’t like you, you fumble a conversation, or something doesn’t go your way…
You’re gonna be fine.
Insecurity leads people to try and overcompensate by trying too hard to prove their self worth where as confidence doesn’t try to prove anything and just acts relaxed.
If you’re trying to be confident. STOP. When you stop trying to prove it and genuinely just start repeating to yourself, “regardless of what happens, I’ll handle it.”
