The 100 The 100 is an American science fiction television series on The CW, developed by Jason Rothenberg and based on the book series of the same name by Kass Morgan. The series is about a hundred juvenile offenders who are sent to Earth almost 100 years after a nuclear war.
The radioactivity of a nuclear war rendered Earth uninhabitable 97 years ago. As a result, twelve space stations from different nations merged in orbit to form one giant station, the Ark. Due to limited resources, strict rules and a one-child policy prevail on the station. Any crime committed by an adult, such as wasting oxygen, is punishable by death. When it becomes clear that the Ark only has a few months left before the oxygen is used up or the CO2 filters fail, 100 young offenders are sent to Earth in a spaceship to find out whether the Earth is habitable again with the help of bracelets that send life signs to the Ark.
