I ordered a drink online and tried to pick it up through drive-thru. Since it was a mobile order, I thought it’d be fine to bypass the little drive-thru speaker thing and go straight to the window. When I got to the window, there wasn’t a worker standing there so I decided to just rolll up my window and wait. After about 5-minutes I was just gonna either drive back to the speaker thing or js go inside and pick it up. As I was driving forward I see a glimpse of a worker so I reverse back. I do this one more time to try to get the worker’s attention. It works and the worker opens the window. When she got to the window she looked kinda pissed. Before she could open her mouth I said “hey I’m trying to pick an order. It was a drive thru order.” I kinda emphasize in a sort of sassy tone the “drive thru” part to let her know that I was in the right pick up area. She doesn’t say okay or anything and just says “next time u have to stop and speak to us that ur here (referencing to that drive thru speaker thing)” then points to her headset and says “otherwise we can’t hear u.” I think she said this in a kind of monotone/lecturing? Way which I took PERSONALLY. So I said “ur good” cause in the moment I was the one waiting for them to come to the window and they were at fault. To that she says “okay but next time u have to talk to us first” or smth along those lines in that same “u should know better” ish tone. I got kind of salty so I asked for ice. When she got them for me and said “thank you have a nice day” I literally said “mhm” and Lwk rolled my eyes. Then I proceeded to write a one star review on google pointing out that specific worked. Saying she was rude and had no manners (lol).
I deleted it like a minute after cause I thought wow. I can’t take one bit of criticism. What’s wrong with me? I could’ve just taken it NOT personally and treat the barista with respect and happiness. I literally could’ve said “ya haha noted for next time” or SOMETHING ELSE #relationships source
