While society introduced many luxuries to the people, in other ways, it has also made it tremendously more complex to guarantee basic essentials for yourself.
In the past, most people had some basic way to farm food for themselves, and when trade began, it was easy to get around your local town or village on foot. In those days, traveling for clothes, tools, and materials was always free.
Today, if you live in an average American city, you most likely are not able to travel around your own city by foot. You instead must rely on public transportation, or buy a vehicle.
Poverty is a difficult thing to overcome. Transportation shouldn’t be a hurdle for a person that lives in a city that was manufactured for cars, and not people #conversation
They stretched everything past walking distance and then put a fare on the only way left to get food and work. Free transit should've been settled already.
