Considering giving up socialising
Some basic facts
Adult male, asian. 30+, work alone(self employed). Not close with family.
I'm on the verge of giving up all social media and just focus on gaming, photography and some obscure hobbies. I feel socialising is not worth it anymore. People move on, ghost, disappear at a moment's notice. Nothing seem to matter or last anymore.
I've tried join various groups to interact and socialise, even obscure ones. They seem either too edgy, too political or just too extreme in some way. When I expressed my views about this to some friends they just repeat the usual phrase "yeah it sucks" and that's the end of their opinion.
Everything has a label on it, everything becomes politicised. If I don't support something or my views are different then I'm a communist, facist, this that. That's 1 of the things I dread about going online.
My parents are the type where things were cheap for them and now they are reaping the dividends and they believe everything they read in the media type. My siblings cannot be more different. Other than having the same surname we have nothing in common.
