Dog sleeping bag necessary, or can I get away with an xtra mat?
I made a post previously about planning a backpacking trip with my two Belgian shepherds!

I do plan going further up north- or a friend suggested OR! I’m leaning more towards November, if I stick with Oregon.
And if I choose further up north, (WY/MT) may wait closer to early spring.
Both dogs are double coated one is just long haired.
Both are sports dogs so they’re pretty lean and built, not a lot of fat just fur lol.
Neither care if they have a proper bed or not, but I was wondering if you’d suggest an extra light sleeping bag just in case, or if getting away with an extra mat would be fine?
Open to other options as well!
