I'm so ready for spring blooms

I’ve planted a lot over the years, but Jack in the Pulpit is one I’ll always tuck into a shady corner. It’s not loud or flashy, and that’s part of the reason I like it. Early spring rolls in, and there it is quiet, almost mysterious like it’s been waiting patiently under the leaves all winter.

What I love most is how it feels like it belongs. You don’t plant Jack in the Pulpit for big color or constant blooms. You plant it for character. That hooded shape rising up from the forest floor never gets old to me. It looks like something straight out of the woods, because it is.

It doesn’t need fussing over either. Give it shade, decent soil, and a little moisture, and it settles in. It pairs naturally with ferns and other woodland plants without trying to take over.

It’s one of those plants that rewards you for slowing down and paying attention. Quiet, native, and perfectly at home in the shade. 🌿
