Old OTR Microwave vented out wrong - how to fix for new?
We are replacing our OTR microwave and discovered that it was venting straight into a cutout in the wall, but not to the outside. There is a vent on the outside of the house through the brick exterior, but it is much lower than the cutout and much lower than where the microwave fan would be blowing. Do I have options to somehow connect down the inside of the wall to the cutout that is lower, and vent out of the house that way, or am I going to have to put another hole through the brick on the outside? if it's the later, what do I need for that, and how do I fix the other hole? thank you.
