I'm 38 and thinking about returning to school for software engineering
Hello!
As the title reads. I have been working gig delivery jobs for years and wasting a lot of time. I always knew what I wanted but never had an opportunity to actually pursue it. I have one child under the age of 10 and my only completed education is HS diploma. I am currently in Orange County, California.
I have 0 coding experience, but prefer being behind the computer in a dark room for endless hours. I am fully aware how difficult coding can be. If i have to noot up when studying, then so be it.
A friend suggested a coding bootcamp to start like nucamp, then get a SWE job through them and use that route to a 4 year CS degree. The more remote, the better for me. Is that best route to go?
, I went to the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, WA when I was 40. Our two children were still in school. I loved it and graduated with honors. Go for it now. Millions of people do it. Cheers, Susan❤️
