First time renting a car, need one-way from airport, and only have debit cards right now.. am I out of luck? I know I can Uber, but wanted to make some stops and have luggage.
Little more context.. first time wanting a rental car.
I'll be flying into the Tampa airport, and would like to rent a car for a one way trip, to drop off an hour away.
Two weeks later I will fly out of Tampa, but I don't need the car for those two weeks.
I don't have a major credit card, and it is too late since I fly in 3 days. (did the debt free thing.. starting to see it's not all it's cracked up to be)
I've read for several of them that they may accept a debit card, but only with proof of a return flight that coincides with the car rental. So in my case, not valid I suppose.
Am I out of luck?
Worst case I can uber, but was hoping to make a couple of stops along the way.
