2 Brits, 1 California Roadtrip - any advice welcome!
Hi everyone,
Me and my best friend are heading on a California road trip this September and would love some advice. We’re both in our late 20s, visiting from NYC/London, and this is a bit of a dream trip for us.
We love:
•Meeting interesting, kooky characters
•Colourful, beautiful places
•Great food and drinks
•Fun, psychedelic vibes. Lots of dancing too!
•Exploring cool towns and unique spots along the way
We’ve put together an itinerary (below) what do you think? Are there any must-see stops we’re missing? (We’ve already been to Yosemite) I want to see as much of Big Sur as possible but hear the roads are still closed after the landslides? Would love any opinions or hidden gem recommendations. W

• Stops: Carmel-by-the-Sea, Point Lobos, Nepenthe, Rocky Creek Bridge, Pfeiffer Beach (Keyhole Arch), Henry Miller Library
• Stay: Cambria
Day 4 – Cambria → Santa Barbara
• Stops: Moonstone Beach, Hearst Castle, Morro Bay, Solvang
• Stay: Santa Barbara (with friends)
Day 5 – Santa Barbara
• Stay: Santa Barbara
Day 6 – Santa Barbara → Palm Springs
• Stay: Les Cactus
Day 7 – Palm Springs
• Stay: Les Cactus
Day 8 – Palm Springs → San Diego
• Stay: Ocean Beach
Day 9 – San Diego / Ocean Beach
• Stay: Ocean Beach
Day 10 – San Diego → LAX (Flight 9pm)
