The parish to pedophile pipeline

I recently learned of \the killing of Celeste Hernandez\ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Killing\_of\_Celeste\_Rivas\_Hernandez by her devout Christian pedofriend and gen Z music artist D4vd. And I feel like it's time to give it another go

If you read this, I am welcoming critique on the structure and palatability to the average person. It's long, and I'm trying to balance giving context, and potential disputes while also maintaining the core concern

I am: reformed devout Christian, sexual abuse survivor, prevention & pedophile treatment advocate, and I'm involved in a small survivors group of men who were victimized by a victim of religion. Most importantly, I'm one of the rare people who wants to deal with this perpetual human problem, instead of being a useless twat who just says "just hate them! It won't happen to my kid."

Going to discuss one major type of child sexual abuse. It doesn't cover all forms or flavor of predator. It DOES address the kind that we create ourselves, for no reason. The one kind that we can just stop.

The background: homo sapiens is a species of upright sexual primate. Like all primates, they have a chief set of biological requirements for mental well-being: they must eat, and they must sleep. They must drink, and eliminate waste. And they must have sex. **It is required for their mental well-being, and activates critical reward pathways. These are foundational requirements of life - and without them, your body will continually remind you that you are failing.** As seen with other primates, if a specimen is deprived of sexual contact and intimacy, they become increasingly depressed and irrational, leading to maladaptive coping mechanisms, including desperation.

The problem: for reasons they genuinely could not explain, many flavors of the Abrahamic religions have decided that 'God' (Allah, Yahweh, Jah, whatever) resents sex - or anything remotely resembling sex. This doesn't really make sense, but it is RAMPANT - a great many churches teach that sex, masturbation, the female orgasm, arousal, even hugs, are sin. That they are wicked and poisonous to the soul, and make you deserve eternal torture. Many congregations extend this to the sexual act of vaginal birth - because they suffer from being fucking idiots. To you and I, adults, this is obviously a case of 'being fucking whack'. To the impressionable youth, desperately insecure and horny, this can be fucking devastating. They don't realize it's extremism - I sure didn't. My parents didn't. My grandparents didn't. Everyone around them just pretends it's normal.

What ends up happening is a conflict of needs, where the victims are at their most horny, their most insecure, and their most self-hating about it all. Many churches have special youth services to remind them they are disgusting perverts and god would like to watch them scream in agony for eternity, because they touched their dick. If they ask "what the fuck?", they are told "god works in mysterious ways, and you're a stupid teenager. A stupid disgusting perverted teenager". This is, surprisingly, not so good for sexual development.

With most humans, there are stages of sexual maturity, which they pass through with experience. Their first girl or boyfriend, for example, is often love at first sight, and they can't imagine being without them. With increasing relationship experience, they mature - and individuals who exhibit these earlier stages of sexual maturity become less attractive for it. Scientists often describe this as "cringe". This is normal - it's why generation after generation, we roll our eyes over our kid's first "true love". This facet of personal growth is why more progressive society's will encourage youth sexual experimentation, with a safe partner - gaining that maturity means better decisions. Lacking it, means the inverse.

Sidenote: this is distinct from both the general appeal of "youthfulness" to the average man, and the appeal of naivety to a Machiavellian sadist. Those are both things, but they are not this.

How this relates to churches - in my support group, some of us are gay, some of us are straight. All of us struggle with relationships, because we lack the sexual maturity similar peers have. We are needy, easily devastated, insecure. We are, effectively, stunted. Not just the regular church sexual maturity stunting, but kind of stuck. The other thing we share is a complex sort of sympathetic rage towards our abusers, because they are all the same person: they are the person we could've been. While the public likes to think that predators flock to churches, we know this isn't true, because we know the predators. We were the first person they molested. The first person they raped. We were the ones who held their hand afterwards, when they begged for forgiveness, from us and from God. We watched as they dug deeper into religion, while also feeling less restraint now that they had already abused their kid. We were the ones who prayed with them for forgiveness, for ejaculating while they molested us; and watched them cry over what 'we turned them into'. Not necessarily because they were some sort of mastermind manipulator - but because they were incredibly mentally unwell, and lashing out. Because they had a foot fetish or some shit, and some hell-bound idiot preacher ruined their life for it.

When you refuse a human their normal sexual development, they never sexually mature. They often delve deep into religion, to cope with their depression. And when a kid comes along, struggling with the same thing - they think they can help. "I survived it, I can help them". And then two extremely sexually frustrated juveniles - one in the body of a grown adult - get extremely close, discussing their bodies and desires, and nature takes it course. Kind of. Because it doesn't end in two teenagers giggling about their shared release. It ends with one teenager deeply confused while the other has a meltdown about keeping it a secret, about god's forgiveness, etc. At this point, the philia is already going to manifest - it is this grown person's most intense, most relieving sexual encounter ever, with a victim who they feel the most compatibility in sexual maturity. This is where a distinct regard to relive this experience, and an interest in youth begin.

In the worst case, this begins another cycle - the victim dives deeper into orthodoxy, while the perpetrator feels less of a barrier to their next crime. As they ruminate on their encounter, and it stays a secret - the only encounter they've ever had fulfilling their sexual needs as a human - it becomes a fixation. They go from someone genuinely wanting to 'help' a youth stag godly, to someone who actively imagines sex with minors. Someone who won't laugh at them, someone they know will keep it secret, someone they can control. And while their sexual immaturity remains null, their abusive maturity grows - they grow less guilty, less sympathetic, and more certain of their faith.

In the best case, both escape the church. The perpetrator goes to jail and therapy and recovers. The victim goes to therapy, and no... He's still not okay. He doesn't think he ever will be. Maybe he's your brother. He'll hate his abuser, almost as much as he pities them - you'll never understand why he gets so uncomfortable when you say "i hate your abuser". He'll live in fear of one day, waking up a pervert - because he saw it happen to his pervert, and he didn't understand the parish to pedophile pipeline. It will fuck him up so much, you have no idea. You might hear him vomiting, when he first meets your newborn. You might find him dead. And it might be a shock and it might break your heart because why now? Well, cause you're old enough now... It might make you hate his abuser even more, but you need to know - they weren't the one pulling the strings.

This is so pervasive, that it was a well documented thing in the Catholic Church - even before the scandals broke. It's well documented because the Catholic Church is so organized. It's not any less common in any other church. But in other churches, there's often no higher authority body. They're protected by "freedom of religion", and aren't accountable to anyone. It isn't underrepresented. It's under reported.

Every year, we seem to slide further and further into "religious tolerance". It makes me nauseous to think about it. Infuriated. The most, with fauxgressives who don't know the different between tolerating natural human diversity and tolerating diversity of bad decisions. Of bad culture.
