Can I use a 7/8" bit with a 1" guide bushing?
I'm seeing the inside diameter of a 1" guide bushing measures 7/8". Ideally there would be a little wiggle room there. Anyone have one they can measure?
ETA: Thanks for the responses. We have a very specific modular jig for our door edge prep. The plate is 7/8" wide so we are hoping to use a 7/8" bit for one pass, and also to match the 7/8" diameter end of the plate. Sounds like the 1" guide is not going to work. We'll either need to get a bigger guide bushing, or make a template
ETA2: was looking around in the shop and found a 1-1/4" guide bushing! We're set!
