Who really makes you mad?

Our environment and circumstances undoubtedly play a role in triggering anger within us, but ultimately, it is our internal decision whether we allow that anger to fester and grow. We often use external factors as excuses, blaming situations or individuals for our emotional responses. However, this perspective merely serves as a shield to avoid taking responsibility for our own reactions.

The crux of the issue lies in our perceived lack of control. We feel compelled to maintain a sense of control over our emotions, and when we succumb to anger, it can feel like a loss of that control, prompting us to seek excuses or blame external sources. Yet, the reality is that we are never in control of our emotions. We just create and influence them. Anger, like any other emotion, is a natural part of the human experience.

Acknowledging that we have chosen to engage in anger empowers us to release it when necessary. However, many individuals cling to their anger, using it as a validation for their actions, regardless of the harm it may cause.

In truth, anger is a toxic emotion that corrodes our well-being and drains us of the joy of living. By relinquishing excuses and taking ownership of our emotions, we can prevent this poison from consuming us. It’s about recognizing that while we may not always control what triggers our anger, we always retain the power to choose how we respond to it. How to influence it. Ultimately, releasing the grip of anger allows us to reclaim our inner peace and live more fulfilling lives.

See that you created it means you can also let go of it.

Empower yourself.
