Just got back from hiking the Alps across Austria and Italy - where have you been?
Spent the last couple of weeks moving through the Austrian and Italian Alps and it's the kind of trip that makes everything else feel a bit small by comparison
This shot was taken near Lake Blindsee in Austria - stumbled across it almost by accident and ended up staying far longer than planned. The combination of dense forest in the foreground and that snow-capped ridge behind it stopped me in my tracks. The Italian side had a completely different character, more dramatic and exposed, but both were genuinely stunning in their own way(+amazing food)
Curious where others have hiked in the Alps - what are the spots that actually stayed with you?
