Recommendations near Coeur d'alene, Idaho
I'm going to be in Coeur d'alene for a work event in a few weeks. Most of the activities are in town, but we have one free day. I was hoping to find a trail within 30 minutes of the city center. I saw a couple of recommendations, but there is apparently a lot of noise from dirt bikes in that area. Now we're thinking about doing a trail near Mt. Coeur d'alene. Does anyone have any trails to recommend in that area?
Maybe 5-10 miles and elevation gain is no problem. We're experienced hikers and already planning for bear safety. For all the green space I see on the map, there doesn't seem to be very many established trails.
