United flight 93 is hijacked later than the other 3 flights, giving passengers and flight attendants time to overhear what has happened in New York and DC.
Passengers on the flight, hearing of the fate of the other two planes, heroically decide to attack the terrorists to stop the same fate on their flight. Todd Beamer is last heard on the phone saying "Let's Roll"
The plane is diverted from its course to DC as a result, and terrorists deliberately crash the plane into the ground at around 500mph. There are no survivors.
The American heroes that prevented the plane from reaching the US Capitol are memorialized today.
