Is it safe to use Nikwax TX.Direct instead of Downproof?
Has anyone used Nikwax TX.Direct on a down jacket instead of Nikwax Down Proof? I already have TX.Direct and would rather avoid buying another product if it works safely. Is there any risk of affecting the down’s loft, breathability, or insulation, or is Down Proof specifically necessary for down-filled gear? I seems like the ingredients are pretty similar so I would like someones opinion please!
