Help cutting the corners off of a 4x4
I am trying to make a horse jump pole by using a 4x4 and cutting the corners off down the whole length of the wood making it an octagon. I have tried doing this with a circular saw but when I get halfway through the cut, I have to stop move the clamps and complete the cut and I have a really hard time restarting and it’s ending up really wonky. Anyone have any tips for restarting the cut or any other tools I can use? I have a table saw but I think it’s gonna be really hard to feed the 4 x 4 through a standard noncommercial grade table saw help.
