Should i buy used am4 or new am5 on new build?

Building a fresh setup for 1440p AAA gaming with a 9070.
DDR5 RAM prices are crazy right now, making AM5 look pretty expensive upfront.
Is it worth paying the premium for AM5 longevity, or should I just go used AM4 to save money?
