🎾 Europe opened the Laver Cup with a 3–1 lead over Team World at London’s O2 Arena after the first day of play.
Carlos Alcaraz and Jakub MenšĂk beat Alexander Bublik and Taylor Fritz 6–4, 6–4 in doubles, giving Europe its final point of the opening day.
The match was only Alcaraz’s second competitive appearance since he returned in August from a right-wrist injury that sidelined him for four and a half months. 🤕
The Laver Cup continues this weekend, with Alcaraz seeking to rebuild his form during the indoor stretch of the season. 🏟️
